Turning Online Seller Leads into Commissions

Rumor has it that for real estate professionals, generating and working online leads isn’t worth the effort. BUT, studies show online leads are simply at different stages in the home buying and selling process. Majority of the online leads you will find are just starting down the path to buying or selling. They are doing their research and exploring their options.

So just because online leads typically are not ready to buy or sell today doesn’t mean they’re a “bad lead.” They are the same buyers and sellers who will turn around and call you when they are ready down the line. So you MUST have a system in place so when your online leads are ready so are YOU!

Generate Traffic is Number 1 in the Proven Process. Generate Traffic - Online Leads       

Generating traffic to your website is one of the most important parts of the process. You need traffic to your website and hanging pages in order to generate the  online leads in the first place. Everything will be moot if you have no traffic.

Here are a few tips for boosting traffic to your website:

Content Marketing satiates the avid curiosity of potential buyers and sellers by providing them useful information. One of the most effective forms of content marking is to maintain a blog. (Have your Real Estate Virtual Assistant help you create and maintain your blog!)  Try creating a blog post a month but preferably a blog post every week. 

You can write on a range of topics including buyers tips, seller tips, homeowner tips, market updates, and so forth. You can also publish and email a monthly digital newsletter. (Again, have your REVA do it for you!)

Listing Status Page 

When people are thinking of buying and selling a home, they go to the internet and look for homes for sale to see what is on the market, so you want to make sure you can capitalize on that interest with your very own website. Start by creating a short write-up for each of your listings, pointing out info such as price, location, and special features.  Then post it to your blog on your website. Doing this will, over time, improve your website’s chances of showing up during those searches.

Social Media Posts 

Bet that you didn’t know that a FIFTH of all pages opened online are Facebook pages? And that the average Facebook user in America spends nearly 40 minutes every single day browsing the site? Publishing useful information on social media and linking it back to your website is another powerful way to take advantage of that traffic and redirect it back to your website. (And if you create or have your REVA create and maintain your blog as previously recommended) you can promote the content of your posts with ads on social media, killing two birds with one stone!
